Airwars Assessment
On the morning of Sunday, 1 March 2026, two alleged Iranian drones hit the commercial port of al-Duqm in Oman, injuring one civilian.
On Twitter/X, @OmanNewsAgency and @AJABreaking reported the incident as “urgent” at 10:46 a.m. and 10:54 a.m. respectively.
The name of the injured civilian was not found among local and international sources identified by researchers, but multiple sources reported the victim was a worker at the port. Additional reporting, citing Omani security sources, identified the injured civilian as an expatriate worker, who was injured when one of the two drones struck workers’ accommodation. Debris from the second drone reportedly landed close to fuel tanks, without causing any material damage or casualties.
Oman condemned the strike and stated that “it is taking all necessary measures to address any threat to the safety of the country and its residents”, according to @OmanNewsAgency on X.
One source on Facebook, @Ahmed El Sefy, attributed the strike to Iran, whilst a second source, @Wajdi Al-Saadi – New Release, also on Facebook, stated that Iran had denied targeting the port.
