Five family members, including a mother and her three children – one of whom was a child – and her son-in-law, were killed and nine others were injured when an Israeli military drone allegedly struck their home in District 17, in the Jalili Neighborhood of Tehran in Iran during the early hours of June 13th, 2025.

Local news outlets reported the neighbourhood where the strike occurred is predominantly residential. The deceased lived in the same home, which appeared to have been struck directly. The death of the family members was also reported by the Instagram account @killedbyisrael2025, containing bios of the deceased. The news source Jam Jam Online referred to the location of the strikes as “completely residential and civilian” and reported that nine citizens were injured in the strike, including one critically.

Mehdi Akbari Nasab was reportedly killed alongside his wife Hosnieh Jafarabadi, his wife’s brother Hossein Jafarabadi, his wife’s other brother 14-year-old Amir Abbas Jafarabadi, and his wife’s mother Fatemeh Esfandani.

According to multiple sources, Mehdi Akbari Nasab was an electronic engineering student at the University of Science and Technology. Hamshahri Online reported that Mehdi’s body was buried in the cemetery of the Four Hundred Martyrs of Karaj.

His wife, Hosnieh Jafarabadi, was a doctoral student in veterinary medicine entering 1997 (final semester intern) at the Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch. In a post mourning the loss of Hosnieh to the veterinary community, Hakim Mehr included an image of her smiling in a mourning poster.

Hosnieh’s brother Hossein was a young Iranian engineer who would post motivational and spiritual content on his popular social media pages, according to an Instagram post by @killedbyisrael2025. The post included a sketched image of young Hossein along with an image of him, his brother, his sister, and his mother during what appears to be their funeral procession with many mourners seen in the background.

A teacher of her other brother Amir named Mohammad Mehdi Haji Parvaneh wrote on his personal page about his former student’s interest in football. Mohammad wrote that “Everyone wanted to be on his team. He was the goal scorer. You saw him occasionally and he was always kind. With colorful eyes, a small stature, and a sharp tongue. But he had many friends and comrades.” According to @fadayaniran, one of Hosnieh’s brothers was a 14-year-old teenager, likely Amir based on images and descriptions.

Another Instagram post from @killedbyisrael2025 memorialized Fatemeh Esfandani, describing her as “a mother who had dedicated her life to raising her children” and further writing “she had raised her children with love in a home full of hope and a bright future; one became a veterinarian, another an engineer, and the third a student who loved football.”

Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.

These days, with the demolition operations of buildings targeted by Zionist missiles, the depth of the enmity and villainy of Netanyahu and his allies is becoming more apparent. The Zionist enemy did not even spare sick children on Friday evening, and fortunately their operation failed. According to the deputy head of medical care at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the projectiles of the infamous Zionist regime hit Hakim Children's Hospital in Tehran. This incident occurred on Friday evening, and one of the projectiles hit the hospital's railings, but fortunately no one was injured. Stating that the medical staff continues to provide uninterrupted services, he added: Attacks on medical centers where children are hospitalized are strongly condemned. An hour after the Zionist attack on Tehran, a photo of a girl was published on social media that made hearts ache. In this photo, part of a girl's hair was visible under the rubble and on a pink mattress. She was supposed to celebrate her 24th birthday in eight days. Parnia Abbasi lived with her father, mother, and younger brother in the Arkideh Sattarkhan building. Being neighbors with a nuclear scientist meant that their house, like the house of Mr. Daneshmand and other neighbors in that building, was targeted by a missile. Parviz Abbasi, a retired education teacher; Masoumeh Shahriari, a retired employee of the National Bank; Parnia Abbasi, a poet and language teacher; and Parham Abbasi, a ninth-grade student, were all members of this family who were martyred. Rescuers first pulled Parnia's body out of the rubble, then Parham, 16, and finally her parents. Majid and his wife Mina also lived in one of the blocks of the Arkideh complex. "Mina is pregnant, and after the missile hit their house, she was thrown out of the window into the street; right on a tree nearby. This tree saved her life and the life of her unborn child. "She was unconscious when firefighters arrived and rescued her. Mina is in the hospital, but there is no news of Majid, and her family is searching for her in the rubble, and they have not yet been able to tell Mina anything about this." The most tragic scenes took place in Tehran's Chamran district, where 60 civilians fell victim to the Zionist crime. More than 30 hours after the missile hit this 14-story residential building, rescuers are still removing debris, and the children's toys around the building testify to the depth of this crime. Dolls, cars, children's and babies' clothes, and the bodies of mothers and children being pulled out from under the rubble are living and clear evidence of one of the blackest pages of crime in the shameful book of criminal Zionists. According to a national media reporter, 60 residents of this 14-story building, 20 children, were martyred in this building, and the bodies of 10 martyrs are under the rubble. Some of these martyrs are 6-month-old and 9-month-old babies. At around 4:00 PM, the body of a woman was pulled out from under the rubble by rescuers. But the youngest martyr of the infanticidal regime's attacks was Rayan Ghasemi. A two-month-old baby whose life was saved was unsuccessful. Najmeh [Zahra] Shams, a mountaineer, Parsa Mansour, an Iranian paddle player, Niloufar Qalehvand, a Pilates instructor with her parents, Amirali Amini, a teenage taekwondo player, and Hamid Tomari, an Iranian marksman, were among the athletes who were martyred in the Zionist regime's criminal attack on residential areas. Maryam Minaei, a 29-year-old mother, was also martyred in Israel's criminal attacks. Her young child is also being treated in a critical condition in the hospital. As Mehr announced, she had only seen 29 spring. She had no military insignia on her chest, and her only rank and badge of honor was guarding a gem called "Child." All her dreams lay like a precious and incomparable treasure in the small and warm nest of her innocent child's life. Her loving and patient hands were not open to pull the trigger but to weave a thread of love, caress her child's cheek and build a bright future, and her heart beat for boundless love for her family and the land of her fathers and ancestors. Mehdi Akbari Nasab, an electrical engineering student at the University of Science and Technology, entering the year 1400, was also martyred along with his wife in the Zionist regime's attack. Yesterday, the Zionist regime launched a drone attack in the Jalili neighborhood of Tehran's 17th district, which is completely residential and civilian. Following this attack, 9 citizens were injured, one of whom is reported to be in critical condition. The brutal attack on civilians, especially children and women, as well as medical and welfare centers, proved once again that this fake regime has no qualms about attacking residential and civilian areas to achieve its sinister goals.

According to Mehr reporter, Mohammad Mehdi Haji Parvaneh, a teacher and editor of the Tavana Journalists Club, wrote on his personal page about his martyred student Amir Abbas Jafarabadi, who was martyred in the 12-day war of the Zionist regime's attacks: What happens when a person frantically searches through his phone's gallery and his story archive for a photo? Then he stares at the photo and his eyes get wet. He cries and his shoulders shake? In the photo. Here we are all posing and laughing at the camera. It is Ordibehesht 12, 1401. Teacher's Day. We had agreed with the sixth graders to enjoy Teacher's Day in our own style. We all wore sportswear. We tied our sneakers and went to the field. We chose four team leaders to lead the team. One of the team leaders was Amir Abbas. This boy with that red heart. He didn't like Persian. Why me? Much more than football. Everyone wanted to be on his team. He was the goal scorer. You saw him occasionally and he was always kind. With colorful eyes, a small stature, and a sharp tongue. But he had many friends and comrades. The last time I saw him was a few months ago at an event. In our hangout at Hosseiniyeh. I don't remember which event...
