On Sunday, the 15th June 2025, Keshavarz Boulevard area in Tehran city was reportedly hit by a series of strikes starting in the morning and continuing in the evening that were allegedly orchestrated by the Israeli military, leading to the injury of at least ten civilians, including a woman, two children, an infant, and six men.
Many local sources reported on “injuries” in the Keshavarz Boulevard area of Tehran, specifically mentioning women and children, but none provided a specific number of injuries or an exact location of the strike. As such, the harm recorded in this incident likely resulted from a number of strikes in the same area. Infrastructure reportedly damaged include a university dormitory, the Ministry of Justice, and residential property.
Pictures and videos from news outlets, such as Bartarinha, and other posts from Facebook and Twitter/X illustrated graphic images of many injured people running to safety. Mothers and fathers carrying their injured infants, as well as young people and women, bloodied and walking to find assistance, are also seen.
ISNA agency’s correspondents, Amir Kholousi and Majid Khahi, photographed the scene. In one image, a heavily injured man is sitting on the ground, leaning on a bike, his grey shirt and white trousers soaked in blood. A passerby tries to treat the man’s wound. In two other images, a middle-aged man with a moustache is squatting, surrounded by men who are trying to help; his face, left arm and short-sleeved striped shirt are сovered with blood. In the second image, the man is shown walking, supported by another man. Another image shows a bare-chested young man with an injured left arm.
Three other images show three injured men, the first man is seen with a head injury, the second with an injury to his left arm, and the third, lying on the ground, a grimace of pain on his face. Two images showed the injuries inflicted on children. One shows a crying woman, holding an infant whose lower back was apparently injured. Another shows a man carrying an injured girl. A middle-aged woman, wearing a black dress and a blue headscarf, is also pictured with blood on her face and her headscarf.
Around 16:50, an alleged Israeli drone strike reportedly hit a student dormitory on Keshavarz Boulevard. The dormitory reportedly housed students studying at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The strike reportedly resulted in injury to a number of students who were taken to hospital. An IRIB reporter working at the scene told media that firefighters were trying to access the area in order to rescue the injured and transfer any bodies. The reporter added that nearby cars had exploded or were burnt, and the facades of nearby buildings were damaged.
A video shared by @autnews_org on Twitter/X showed one of the premises of the dormitory damaged in the attack. In particular, part of the ceiling was destroyed.
Nour News reported that a Red Crescent relief helicopter was also attacked, but this information was not corroborated by other sources.
Reports from Ransak News confirmed that the Ministry of Justice was also hit in one of the attacks on that day, but no casualties or injuries were reported. The targeting of such a vital institution, according to Ransak News, has “discredited public opinion regarding the inability of security institutions to protect vital government centers.”
Where the sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to the Israeli military.
