Airwars Assessment
Between one and five people were killed and another injured when alleged Israeli drones struck a mosque and a home in the Majidieh area of Tehran, Iran on June 17, 2025.
On Twitter/X, @AHAB1364a wrote that their brother’s house in “East Tehran, Majidieh” had sustained damage when a local mosque was bombed, killing the mosque’s caretaker and injuring his wife, specifically attributing the bombing to the Israeli military.
Iran International reported on Facebook and Twitter/X that a citizen had sent in a video showing that “on Tuesday, June 17, on Majidieh Street in northern Tehran, three drones targeted a IRGC team house, killing five people. The windows of all the surrounding buildings within a radius of 400 meters were shattered.” In the video, a building can be seen with significant damage to the upper floors and windows in surrounding buildings appear to have sustained damage.
As only one source referred to civilian harm, the civilian harm status has been graded as ‘weak’. However, as two independent claims attributed the strike to the Israeli military, the strike status has been recorded as ‘likely’. This will be updated should additional information become available.
