During the afternoon of 21 June, 2025, a family car traveling on the Hamil-Sarabeleh road in Kermanshah province was allegedly hit by an Israeli drone strike, leading to the deaths of two people and the injuries of two others.
Pari Ahmadvash was killed with her six-year-old son Yasin Molayie; her younger son, reported to be “about two” was injured, as was her husband. The wounded father and child were brought to a hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
A photograph of Pari shows her in a black chador. A photograph of Yasin, lying on grass, was widely shared. She was remembered as a “devoted mother,” with one source decrying that the family “was on the road, not on the battlefield.”
A blog post from “Dr. Mostafavi” quoted Farhad Shahbazi, the governor of Islamabad-Gharb, who reported that the drone had targeted “a truck and a passenger car.”
A funeral for mother and son was held in the city of Hamil.
All sources that identified a belligerent pointed to the Israeli military.
