Airwars Assessment
On Monday, March 2, 2026, civilians were reportedly injured in an alleged Israeli and/or US airstrike on Semnan Street, Tehran, Iran. The attack led to the full or partial destruction of some residential homes.
In the early afternoon on March 2, Tasnim News published photos of destroyed buildings and multiple people who appear to have escaped from the rubble, writing, “these are pictures of the criminal American-[Israeli] attack on people’s homes on Shariati Street, Semnan Alley, Tehran.” Nour News and other outlets disseminated the Tasnim images as well.
In a video filmed by Tasnim News and shared by Nour News, women were assisted in leaving the destroyed building, with loud screams heard. A young woman talked to a reporter, telling that this building was a residential one and there was no military base nearby.
The people shown in the photos appear to have suffered minor injuries, as well as emotional distress, but injuries were not reported by the sources. The total number, condition and identities of the civilians harmed in this strike are currently unknown.
Where sources identified belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli and/or US military.
