Airwars Assessment
On Monday, March 2, 2026, civilians were filmed fleeing a residential home after an alleged Israeli and/or US airstrike on Semnan Street, Tehran, Iran. The attack led to damage to residential homes. As many as two people appear to have been injured in the strike.
In a video filmed by Tasnim News and shared by Nour News, women were assisted in leaving the building, with loud screams heard. A young woman told a reporter that the building was a residential one and there was no military base nearby.
While sources noted that the civilians were distressed, none explicitly reported physical injuries. However, the video shared by Tasnim and Nour included individuals screaming. To account for the possibility that those screams were the result of physical pain, Airwars has recorded a minimum of zero injuries and maximum of two. As the allegation of harm comes from a single video, the civilian harm status has been recorded as ‘weak,’ and strike status as a ‘single source claim.’ This will be updated should additional information become available.
In the early afternoon on March 2, Tasnim News published photos of destroyed buildings and multiple people who appear to have escaped from the rubble, writing, “these are pictures of the criminal American-[Israeli] attack on people’s homes on Shariati Street, Semnan Alley, Tehran.” Nour News and other outlets disseminated the Tasnim images as well.
Twitter/X user @fattahifarzad shared an image of one of the women seen in the video shared in connection to this incident, and noted that she has appeared in media shared by other regime-affiliated media outlets like Fars News, ultimately questioning the veracity of the media shared in connection to this incident. Airwars notes that this is part of the discourse around this alleged incident of harm, and will withdraw the incident should it become clear that the sources tied to the incident were fabricated.
Where sources identified belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli and/or US military.
