On March 2, 2026, at least four people were wounded in an alleged U.S. and/or Israeli airstrike on the corner of Motahhari Street and Turkmenistan Street in Tehran, Iran.
At 5:30 p.m. on March 2, @akhbarefore posted a video on Telegram depicting “damage to residential areas on Turkmenistan Street.” The video showed shaken residents pouring onto the street, with at least two people visibly injured. A man was assisted by others as he had difficulty walking while a woman was showing her injured arm. The pavement near the residential building was covered with white dust and shattered glass, and some cars had broken windows.
The following morning, Tabnak published a series of photos showing the aftermath of “airstrikes on Turkmenistan Street area in Tehran” with at least two additional people visibly injured. One person was lying on the ground in clothes stained with blood, attended by two passers-by, while a man was sitting on a bench with a head wound. The pictures also showed emergency responders present at the scene(s) and significant damage to surrounding buildings and vehicles. Mizan Online published additional photos showing “destruction of citizens’ property in attack on Turkmenistan Street.”
On March 6, @hodhod.ca posted a video recorded from inside a moving car showing damage to the city streets. The caption alleges that “the Tehran Diplomatic Police building on Turkmenistan Street was completely destroyed and the surrounding buildings were also heavily damaged.” A post by @mahshiid_nazemii also reported “claims of targeting government positions” and showed photos of damaged buildings and vehicles.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to the U.S. and/or Israeli military.

Reports of the incident mention the Diplomatic Police Command (فرماندهی پلیس دیپلماتیک) and residential building on the corner of Motahhari Street and Turkmenistan Stree (خیابان مطهری, خیابان ترکمنستان), Tehran (تهران). Analysing historical satellite imagery, we have narrowed down the location to these exact coordinates: 35.723484, 51.441205.
