Airwars assessment
On Monday, 23 September 2024, at around 11:15 am local time, an alleged Israeli airstrike struck the Farhat industrial facility in the Toul area of South Lebanon, injuring a number of civilians.
While the exact number of civilian casualties is unclear, the incident was covered by social media users and news agencies online, some of whom referenced “a number” of injuries. In line with Airwars’ methodology, the use of the plural form has been quantified as at least two injuries until further information emerges.
Initial reports of the incident emerged around 11:33 am local time, with @midan_press posting on Twitter/X, “National Agency”: “Injuries in a raid on an industrial facility in Toul. #Meydan_Press.” Sawt El Mada, a Lebanese radio platform, also shared news about the incident on Twitter/X. The article included a picture of the alleged strike, depicting industrial buildings surrounded by large clouds of black smoke. On Facebook, Anadolu Agency shared, “#Urgent | Injuries in an Israeli raid that targeted an industrial facility in the town of Toul, southern Lebanon, and completely destroyed it (Lebanese News Agency).”
Most sources described the event as a “raid” of the Al-Daqs house with only one news source, Jezzinetahki, claiming this was an alleged airstrike: “Injuries in a raid on an industrial facility in Toul […] Israeli warplanes raided and destroyed the Farhat industrial facility in the center of the Toul area. Injuries were reported.” Additionally, sources do not mention any information about civilian deaths related to the incident.
Where sources identified belligerents, all sources attributed the airstrike to the Israeli military.

Reports of the incident mention the village of Toul (تول), for which the generic coordinates are: 33.389686, 35.445065. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
