On September 26th, 2024, the town of Shuhour in Southern Lebanon was reportedly struck by an alleged Israeli raid, resulting in reported “injuries” of civilians and the death of four men who have been identified as Hezbollah militants.
Multiple sources confirmed a strike or raid in the area and the dispatch of ambulances. The Echo of Dahieh Page Telegram post mentioned “martyrs and wounded” as a result of a raid on Shuhour. Further posts from sources, including Hawraa Alzein, identified the names of four men killed in the attack on Shuhour, and all four men were identified as members of Hezbollah. As none of the local sources specify that those injured were militants, a range of 2-2 has quantified civilian injuries.
Social media posts, such as one with a photo, depicted smoke plumes rising from behind a hill, purportedly near the town of Shuhour, following the reported strike.
While Al-Nashra was the only source to explicitly attribute the strike to the Israeli military, multiple sources referred to the attack as a “raid”, indicating that airstrikes were carried out, a capability only possessed by Israel in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
