On November 27, 2024, were various social media reports claimed an Israeli airstrike hit the Hay al-Salam neighbourhood of Beirut’s southern suburb in Lebanon.

On Facebook, @CivildefenseLB posted that there was an injured individual who was taken from Hay al-Salem to a hospital in the area. Visual posts by the Facebook pages “Blah, Blah with Coly” and Al Faihaa News Network published a video reportedly from where the attack occurred. The video, taken at night, was captioned as having been taken from the area of an Israeli strike in Hay al-Salem, and included evidence of damaged property.

Neither of these users, however, pointed to any civilian harm. As such, this has been graded as a “likely” strike with a “weak” civilian harm status, as only one source alleged an injury.
