On Thursday, March 5, 2026, a 20-year-old man, Abdul Rahman Walid Muhammad Sharab, who had a mental disability, was shot and killed by three bullets allegedly shot by the Israeli military near Al-Alam Roundabout and Flag Square in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip.
Abdul Rahman was a resident of Khan Younis Al-Sikka and, according to Shurrab.org, he was found wounded in the Al-Alam area of Rafah, and then succumbed to his injuries. According to @Qadeyah1 on Twitter/X, he went missing for two days before his death.
An image of Abdul Rahman, shared by many sources, shows a young man with short, dark hair and light-colored eyes smiling directly at the camera. He is wearing a casual top with a patterned section near the shoulders.
His cousin, Badr Sharab, mourned his death on Facebook, writing, “My cousin Abdul Rahman Walid Muhammad Sharab has been martyred. May God have mercy on you, Abdul. The funeral prayer will be held today, Thursday, at 9 a.m. at Nasser Hospital.”
@F24online on Twitter/X posted the pictures, showing the funeral of the young man. Four women and a boy are seen crying over his body.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the shooting to the Israeli military.
