On Sunday, October 29, 2023, four civil defense workers from the “Al-Zahraa Center” were injured in an alleged “double-tap” strike perpetrated by Israeli forces while they were responding to an earlier strike on the al-Hilu family home located west of the former Netzarim settlement in the central governorate of the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian Civil Defense Facebook page, ambulance driver Ahmed Khudair suffered a broken foot and a head injury, paramedic Hassan Jabr and firefighter Hassan al-Wasifi incurred shoulder injuries, and a second firefighter, Nassar Ghariz, suffered bruises to his body.
A number of other sources, including Msdr News, Asharq New, and Alwatan Voice, reported that “three civil defense members were injured as a result of being [bombarded] while they were evacuating wounded people from one of the houses that was subjected to Israeli bombing, west of Netzarim, south of Gaza City, a short while ago.”
Where sources identified the belligerent, the strike was attributed to Israeli forces.

Reports of the incident mention the vicinity of the Netzarim area (منطقة نتساريم) to the south of Gaza City (مدينة غزة). Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to find boundaries for the neighbourhood and to verify the location further.
