Airwars assessment
Shortly before 6:22 AM on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the homes of the Hamid, Al-Sharafi, and Labad families located in the Al Faluja area in Jabalia Refugee Camp in the north of the Gaza Strip were allegedly bombed by Israeli forces, killing at least 24 identified civilians belonging to three different families and spanning over three generations, and injuring at least five others, including three children.
Shehab Agency initially reported the event at 6:22 AM, informing about three killed and a number of injured civilians from a bombing in Jabalia camp. In another Twitter/X post at 6:25 AM, the news agency reported injuries after the bombing of the Hamid family home in the Al Faluja area, along with graphic images which showed two children with injuries and a deceased infant.
According to social media accounts, the homes of Abu Ayesh Hamid and Abu Hassan Al-Gharib were completely destroyed. In addition, the homes of the Abu Shaaban Awad, Abu Muhammad Al-Sharafi, Al-Sharif, Abu Salim Al-Ramlawi, Mahmoud Al-Madhoun, and Abu Ahmed Al-Daour families were partially destroyed, and there were many missing civilians under the rubble.
The names and identities of 24 civilians, including 9 members of the Hamid family, five members of the Labad family, and 10 members of the Al-Sharafi family who had been killed in the strike, were identified based on social media testimonies by relatives and friends. However, local sources reported that up to 20 members of the Al-Sharafi family were killed in the bombing of the residential square in the Al-Faluga area. According to social media accounts, 21 people were killed from the Hamid family, thus making the death toll of the strike as high as 46 civilians. A search was also underway for missing persons under the rubble of the house at the time of reporting.
Hamid family
According to a Facebook post by Nehad Omar [Hamid], 18 people were killed from the Hamid family while Saed Hameed Abu Al-Majd claimed that the number of deaths in the Hamid family was 21.
62-year-old Muhammad Ayesh Muhammad Hamid (Abu Ayesh) was killed alongside his wife, 57-year-old Taghreed Abdul Jawad Hamid (Umm Ayesh), their daughter, 36-year-old Attaf Muhammad Ayesh Hamid (Qadoura), and her four children – two sons, 13-year-old Hamza Muhammad Qadoura and 12-year-old Omar Muhammad Qadoura and her two daughters, 10-year-old Maryam Muhammad Qadoura and seven-year-old Mariah Muhammad Qadoura.

Abdeljawad Ameen Hameed also grieved the death of their aunt, “the patient woman,” her husband, daughters, grandchildren, adding that Tagreed would be reunited with little “Atta Allah” who died 18 years ago, possible one of her children who had died. While multiple sources mention “daughters” of Tagreed and Muhammad were killed, only Affat’s name was found among local sources who reported on this incident. However, 21-year-old Fatima Al-Zahraa Muhammad Ayesh Hamid and 35-year-old Wafa Muhammad Ayesh Hamid have been identified by Airwars researchers as children of Tagreed and Muhammad in the Ministry of Health list of fatalities based on matching multiple familial names and were likely killed in this incident. Based on this information, a range of 1-2 has been added to the number of those killed based on a minimum of two total daughters killed. A Facebook post from Nehad Omar [Hamid] reported that “wives” of Muhammad were killed, but the name of Muhammad’s additional wife (or wives) was not found among the sources.
Baraa Hob Qadoura wrote a heartfelt tribute to Attaf and her four children: “With hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny, and with more pride and pride mixed with sadness over the loss of loved ones, we bring to you a martyrdom my uncle’s martyr wife: Attaf Qadoura, “Umm Hamza,” and her four children.”

Saeed Al-Shaweesh, a sister of the late Hanan, wrote a heartfelt tribute to her on Facebook: “The martyrdom of my sister, the apple of my eye, my soul, and the beat of my heart, Hanan Labad (Umm Muhammad). And her daughter, my friend, dearest in my soul, and closest to my heart, Fatima Labad, and her daughter and her husband, Abu Khalil Mayma, may God have mercy on them, and my sister’s injured husband, Ali Labad (Abu Muhammad). May God heal him and grant him well-being.”

However, 33-year-old Kamilia Ashour Atta Al-Sharafi has been identified by Airwars’ researchers as a daughter of Ashour and 13-year-old Suzan Muhammad Ashour Al-Sharafi and 12-year-old Zeina Muhammad Ashour Al-Sharafi have been identified as granddaughters of Ashour in the Ministry of Health list of fatalities based on matching multiple familial names and were likely killed in this incident.
According to Fahmi Al-Sharafi, his wife Fatima Ashour Atta Al-Sharafi had been killed and his son Nabil Fahmi Al-Sharafi was in intensive care for injuries, and his daughter Habiba Fahmi Al-Sharafi and son Ayed Fahmi Al-Sharafi were also injured.

Em Rakan Lolo posted similar information but the number of those killed at 20.
Multiple images on social media showed the destruction in the wake of the strike. Hemaid Aabdulhamid included images of the destroyed houses in the Al-Faluga area. Alsharq Palestine posted striking images showing the completely destroyed multi-story buildings, piles of rubble, and people looking for survivors amidst the rubble.
Where the sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to Israeli forces.

Since October 26, 2023 the MoH has released six lists, along with an additional list of medical professionals, which was released on September 17, 2024.
