Airwars Assessment
Shortly before 2 PM on November 5, 2023, an alleged Israeli bombardment struck a house in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, killing between two and three civilians, including two men.
The Twitter/X account @Almasirahbrk was the first to report the incident at 2:02 PM.
Victims were rushed to the Indonesian Hospital, though reports on the number of casualties varied. Yemeni Press and Al-Masirah’s Twitter/X reported “at least two” deaths, while Al Jazeera Egypt and Palestine TV stated that three people had been killed. Similarly, the Shehab Agency and MSDR News also reported three victims and shared a graphic image showing two male bodies, clothed and covered in blood, lying atop a horse-drawn cart. A crowd of bystanders surrounded the cart, with one man placing his hands on a victim’s stomach and face.
Most sources did not specify the nature of the strike, referring to it only as a “bombing.” However, correspondents from Al Jazeera Egypt and Al Jazeera Palestine attributed the attack to an “occupation aircraft.” The sources also did not provide identifying information on the deceased. This assessment will be updated should more information come to light.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the attack to the Israeli military.
