At dawn on Monday, March 9, 2026, children were injured in an alleged Israeli airstrike and/or artillery shelling in Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip.
Roya News shared a video of a toddler with a head injury being carried through a hospital and reported “children and infants injured in Israeli shelling targeting Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.” Alwtan TV and others shared the same video with the caption, “a baby, not yet a few months old… Injuries among children in an Israeli artillery bombardment of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.” Facebook accounts Manal J Hammouri and Youness OB referred to the attack as an “airstrike.” While no exact toll was provided by the sources, all mentioned “injuries” in the plural, which has been recorded as 2-2 until further information is found.
Facebook user Sanaa Al-Jamal shared a different video, showing the same toddler crying being treated on a hospital bed. The infant’s head was bandaged, with blood seeping through the dressing and pooling on the table beneath. The child had dried blood on their face as well.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to Israeli forces.
