In the afternoon of October 9, 2024, alleged Israeli drones or a reconnaissance aircraft reportedly bombed aid security personnel on Salah al-Din Street, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, reportedly killing three people and injuring several others. Reports indicated that the security guards had been stationed at the Murtaja junction to facilitate the safe and controlled entry of humanitarian aid into the area.
The news agency Safa reported the incident at 16:56, writing about three casualties and several injuries as a result of the alleged Israeli drone attack. Other sources corroborated this information, some of them claiming that the attack was by a reconnaissance aircraft.
Though none of the sources named those impacted, all sources attributed belligerent status to Israeli forces.
