On November 9, 2023, a 74-year-old man was killed by an alleged Israeli sniper near the Netzarim Junction in the Gaza Strip. He was fleeing south on foot when he was shot, and his body was later transported to the nearby Al-Aqsa Hospital.
A photo posted by Quds TV on Facebook shows men carrying a body wrapped in a white shroud on a stretcher. One man appears distressed as he helps carry the stretcher, while another looks as if he is shouting in panic.
Reflecting on the news, Hana Fouad wrote on X: “They told people to move from the north to the south, saying there’s a safe corridor, but they are sniping those who are leaving.” Fouad is referring to the Netzarim Corridor, designated by the Israeli military as a “safe passage” for people in Gaza feeling the north to the south.
Because of the circularity of reporting, where subsequent sources repeated prior information, this incident has been graded as both a “single source claim” and “weak.”
