Airwars Assessment
On February 14, 2026, an elderly man was allegedly shot in the foot and injured by the Israeli forces outside their deployment area, the Al-Manshiya area in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip.
The incident was widely reported on social media with Twitter users, including @PalinfoAr, @F24online, @Quds_Brk, @AlQastalps and many more, sharing similar information, with some of them referring to press sources and a source in the ambulance and emergency services. One photograph shared by @Hamla Kaddour purports to show the bullet.
Based on the repetitive nature of the reporting, Airwars has graded the strike type of the incident as a “single source claim”, and the civilian harm status as “weak.”
Geolocation Notes
Reports of the incident mention the Al-Manshiya area (المنشية), referring to Al-Manshiya Street (شارع المنشية), in Beit Lahia (بيت لاهيا). Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to find boundaries for the neighbourhood/area and to verify the location further.
