72-year-old Zaki Mohammad Khalil Abu Ismael “Abu Ammar” was killed by alleged Israeli action in Khan Younis on 14 June 2025. Sources did not specify the type of incident that caused Zaki’s death.
Originally from Rafah, Zaki was remembered as a “kind neighbour.” Family members, including multiple nephews, wrote condolence messages, asking that “God have mercy on him and forgive him,” but found solace in the belief that he had “ascended to the highest ranks in the presence of his Lord.” Abasan al-Kabira asked that well-wishers “please pray for mercy and acceptance for him.”
Photographs of Zaki show him as a consistent dresser, always wearing a taqiyah and patterned shirt.
Zaki’s name was found on the Palestinian Ministry of Health List of Fatalities in Gaza, first appearing in the tenth publication, published 16 July 2025.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all pointed to the Israeli military.
