Airwars Assessment
The morning of Monday July 15th 2024, at least three civilians were killed and a number of others were injured by alleged Israeli bombings in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza. The names of the three confirmed killed are Fadi Iyad Abu Sharbi, Muhammad Aoun Al-Akshiya, and Muhammad Ashraf Al-Arqan.
At 11:00, a Safa correspondent reported at least three Palestinians killed alongside a resulting “number of injuries” from an alleged Israeli military bombing of a group of citizens in the east of Gaza City. Aljazeera confirmed the numbers and location of the alleged shelling on Al-Mansoura Street near the Hassan building, which killed three people. Various other independent and news sources confirmed this throughout the day: “At least three citizens were killed and a number of others injured as a result” from the reported Israeli bombardment (Hani Alshaer on Facebook).
Friends and family took to social media to mourn their deaths; Mahmoud Essa confirmed the death of his cousin, Muhammad Aoun Al-Akshiya, his “comrade” Fadi Iyad Abu Sharbi, and his “good friend” Muhammad Ashraf Al-Arqan on Facebook later on the same day, along with an image of their grave sites, which appear to have been made of cardboard due to the shortage of resources.
Nabil Al-Sadoudi also posted a memorial for his friend Muhammad Aoun Al-Akshiya, along with an image of himself with Muhammad. A post from Moein Al-Dabba included images of the three men before and after they were killed.
An image posted by Josat 24 News shows at least one man being treated for his injuries by a team of doctors.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.
