During the day of the 15th July 2025 it was reported that journalist and Al-Mayadeen TV correspondent, Akram Daloul (Abu Sajid), was injured in an alleged Israeli attack on Al-Nadim Street in the Zeitoun neighbourhood, southeast of Gaza City, alongside other civilians, with an injury toll reportedly reaching dozens.
It was reported that several other civilians were injured in the same incident. However, there was little detail regarding these casualties. Instead, the reporting focused mainly on the injury of Journalist Arkam Daloul. According to Al-Mayadeen Channel on Facebook, Akram was injured while performing his professional duties, in particular, shortly before the strike he had been broadcasting on air, speaking about the escalating Israeli attacks on various areas in the Gaza Strip.
@AJLocation name local reported in a video that a group of wounded arrived at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital after an Israeli airstrike on the Zeitoun neighbourhood, claiming dozens were injured.
Images and videos accompanying the reporting showed a middle-aged man with a head injury covered in a bandage and with a drip in his right arm. Multiple images were taken. Some showed him lying on a metal bed frame which appears to be broken, this looks to be taken in some sort of tent structure where medical personnel are tending to him. In another picture, Akram was being assisted by a group of men to walk down a street in what looks like the middle of the day. It is unclear which picture was taken first, however it appears that Arkam is in a stable condition.
In a video posted on Facebook, Al-Mayadeen channel reported that Akram sustained moderate injuries. There was no intracranial hemorrhage or skull fracture. He was quickly transported to the Baptist Hospital. Also, journalist Abdullah Abu Kamil wrote on Facebook that Akram’s condition was stable.
According to the Alyawmnews on Facebook, Israeli drones had bombed a group of civilians, other reports suggested that the incident was instead a result of artillery shelling.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.
