A young fisherman was injured by an alleged Israeli quadcopter drone attack on the beach west of Rafah, Gaza on February 16, 2026.
Walid Abu Mashayekh reported that a fisherman named Abdullah Adel al-Bardawil sustained serious injuries when a quadcopter dropped bombs on fishing boats west of Rafah. Echo of Palestine specified that the bombing occurred on the beach behind Muawiya Mosque while referring to Abdullah’s injuries as “moderate”.
In an image posted by Walid Abu Mashayekh, a group of men and children can be seen gathered near the water.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.

Reports of the incident mention the coast of Rafah (ساحل رفح), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.330124, 34.227724. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
