A young man was killed by alleged Israeli sniper fire east of the Al-Tahliya roundabout in Khan Younis, Gaza, on February 18, 2026.
@ShehabAgency reported that a “martyr” was killed by Israeli forces east of the Al-Tahliya roundabout in Khan Younis. Hamla Kaddour identified Abdul Hamid Muhammad al-Farra as killed in Al-Tahliya, writing on Facebook that Abdul Hamid’s mother and his relatives said goodbye to him in the morgue of Nasser Medical Complex.
According to Mohammed Al-Ghazwani, Abdul Hamid was killed “minutes” before Iftar by an Israeli sniper in the Sheikh Nasser area, with a post from Abdallah Alatar pointing out that he had been killed while going to his home. Mohammed Al-Ghazwani included images of Abdul Hamid from before his death, pictured in a formal suit in one and wearing an orange hoodie in another, smiling brightly in both.
The Rashwan Family offered condolences to the Al-Farra family, particularly Abdul Hamid’s father Abu Al-Abd and his mother Umm Al-Abd Rashwan, as well as maternal uncles, for the loss of their young relative.
In a video posted by Alshanab Breekh, loved ones can be seen saying goodbye while in deep pain. Abdul Hamid’s grieving mother told Alshanab Breekh that her son had been waiting for the Rafah crossing to open so that he could travel to Egypt. Images posted by Abdallah Alatar show men, women, and children gathered around the shroud of Abdul Hamid, mourning their dear loss.
Ibrahim Mohareb posted a video of Abdul Hamid’s funeral procession and final farewells from hundreds of people, describing the victim as a “virtuous young man”.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strikes to the Israeli military.
