Airwars assessment
On June 19th 2024 a boy was injured by bullets from an alleged Israeli quadcopter plane that opened fire in the Nuseirat refugee camp market in Deir al-Balah. The name and age of the child have not been found within local sources.
According to a Facebook post by Rami al-Sabe, the incident occurred during Eid celebrations. The Palestine Voice Radio, amongst other sources, shared the image of the injured child lying on a stretcher, with bandages on both arms and blood marks on his jeans.
Though no source attributed the strike to a specific belligerent, that a quadcopter drone was alleged to have been used points to the Israeli military as a likely perpetrator. Therefore, this incident has been attributed as “likely” Israeli forces.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
