On the 21 February 2026, several local Palestinian news outlets, including Shehab Agency, Masdar News, Al Quds and Al Qastal News reported that a 23 year-old woman named Suad al-Haddad was shot in the neck and injured by an alleged Israeli quadcopter drone near the Latin Monastery Church, east of Gaza City.
In describing the incident, a Facebook post by the Mahmoud Abu Zanada Media Platform specified that a quadcopter opened fire near the Latin Monastery Church and that there were injuries at the scene. Therefore, a maximum number of two injuries has been recorded in order to account for the indication of an additional injury or more.
Meanwhile, and without mentioning Suad by name, Al-Quds Channel reported that a “23-year-old woman” was “seriously injured” by Israeli drone fire while at her home behind the Latin Church east of Gaza City.
Where sources identified a belligerent, the attack was attributed to the Israeli military.
