On Saturday, 21st June 2025, reports indicated that Imad Abdul Jawad Abu Zureiq al-Kafarneh, a doctor, was killed by alleged Israeli gunfire in the al-Dhara Hospital area in the Gaza Strip. Several family members and acquaintances shared tributes confirming his identity and relationship ties. Sohail Qassem described him as an uncle, expressing grief and prayers for his soul. Abu Abd Dr. Muhammad Abu Zariq referred to him as a brother, friend, and companion, noting the depth of personal loss. Mostafa Alkafarna identified him as his father’s uncle, alleging that he was killed “by the bullets of the treacherous Zionists.” Activist Mohamed Mahmoud reiterated that Dr. Imad was killed after going to the al-Dhara Hospital area.
Multiple social media sources shared the image of the late Imad, a middle-aged man with short grey hair wearing a white shirt, a black suit and a red tie.
