On the evening of Sunday, March 22, 2026, at least two civilians, including a child, were injured by alleged Israeli gunfire near the western roundabout in the Beit Lahia project area in northern Gaza Strip. Sources consistently reported that the injuries resulted from Israeli forces opening fire in the area. No names, ages, or additional demographic details of the injured civilians were found among sources available at the time of writing.
Multiple local and regional sources, including Shehab Agency, WAFA, Palestinian Information Center, and several Facebook-based local news outlets, reported that two civilians were injured. Most sources stated that one of the injured was a child, with some further specifying that the second injured civilian was a “young woman”. Hani Alshaer reported similar information that “a child near the western roundabout and a young woman were injured by Israeli army gunfire in the Beit Lahia project.”
