During the attack on his family home, the man appeared to suffer injuries to his head and neck based on images.
@Sa7atPlBreaking reported on the injury to Hatem and posted an image of a man receiving medical treatment, information which was repeated by other local sources, such as @PalpostN.
@zahraakksa reported that Hatem Salmi was killed but included an image of Hatem alive and receiving treatment for his injuries, indicating that it was possibly a mistake. However, a death toll of 0-1 has been recorded to account for this uncertainty.
Where a belligerent was identified, all sources pointed to the Israeli military.
