Two civilians, likely healthcare personnel, were reportedly killed by LNA shelling on Al-Wushka near Sirte.

The Field Medicine and Support Center said that it “mourns the center’s employees:

Khaled Omar Bakir (M)

Hatem Ba’iyou Al Zahou (M)

They are members of the Sirte field hospital affiliated to the center, who were martyred in a direct targeting with a shell this afternoon, Thursday 1 January 2020 in the Al-Wushka area, where they had a great role in serving and rescuing the wounded from the clashes from all sides.”

Anadolu Agency reported: “Two paramedics were killed by Gen. Khalifa Haftar forces Thursday when an ambulance was targeted with artillery in the Al-Washaka area in eastern Sirte.
A statement by UN-recognized Libyan government forces said ‘in continuation of Haftar crimes against medical teams in Sirte, Haftar’s militia targeted an ambulance with artillery and caused the death of two paramedics.'”
