On May 11th 2023, up to six civilians including two family units, were injured by an Iron Dome missile falling on their house in Hamad Road, al-Satar al-Gharbi area, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Yassin Yahya al-Astal, 26, and his cousin Ashraf Abdul Rahim al-Astal, 50, along Ashraf’s wife and daughter Aida Khalil Mustafa al-Astal, 40, and Souad Ashraf al-Astal, 18, were reportedly injured and taken to Nasser Hospital in mild conditions. According to a Tweet by the Gaza Press, two brothers were injured in the event, including one who was left in critical conditions. On social media, a local source identified those as “Khaled Ashraf Abdullah Al-Astal, 21 years old, and “Abdullah Ashraf Abdullah Al-Astal, 21 years old”, but described their conditions as ‘mild’.
