At approximately 12.05 am on May 12th 2023, Israeli warplanes allegedly targeted the house of the sons of the late Nafez Ghaleb Hamdan Dughmush, located west of the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood of Gaza City, injuring one civilian.

The four-storey house hosted four families for a total of 23 people, including 12 children and 5 women, and is located near the former radio and television building. Nidal Dughmush was reportedly preparing to eat apples with his wife when a missile hit the building, leaving him injured and partially damaging the house.

According to an al-Mezan Center for Human Rights report, “the occupation forces had phoned a resident of the house and informed him of their intention to target the building”, although a Tweet by @Shaheerelheluo dismissed this information as “rumors spread by the evil social media”.
