Airwars assessment
Up to five civilians including a child were reported killed and five others injured in alleged Russian forces airstrikes or Syrian regime artillery shelling on Abdin in Idlib, Syria on September 9th, 2018 according to local sources.
Local Coordination Committees of Syria said that the Syrian regime conducted the attack with barrel bombs. “Artillery shelling of al-Assad forces targeting the towns of Al-Tamanah and Al-Khawain, and raids of Al-Assad helicopter with barrel bombs on the towns of Tal Aas and Abdin in the southern countryside of Idlib.”
@voiceofsunnis reported that “four civilians, including a child, were killed and five others were wounded after their house was targeted by two air strikes by the Russian occupation air forces in the vicinity of the town of Abdin.”
@Sy24ria said that some of the victims belong to one family. “Five civilians, most of them from one family, were killed by a horrific massacre committed by the regime in Abdin town, in the countryside.”
@aboalhodaalhoms tweeted “Dozens of explosive barrels were dropped from the Russian Assad helicopters to Latamna and Kafr Zita in Hama, al-Habit and Hasheen Abdin villages in Idlib countryside, which resulted in the death of a child and the injury of others.”
