Airwars assessment
One civilian was reportedly killed and three others were reportedly wounded when a Russian or Syrian regime artillery shelling targeted the village of Kafr Lata in the southern Idlib countryside, Syria, on November 6th 2022.
The civilian was reported as Ahmed Jamal Al-Sheikh, also known as Ahmad Jamal Qalli in other reports, aged 45, and was reportedly killed when he was picking olives in agricultural land. The Syrian Network for Human Rights also reported that the artillery shells landed near a group of civilians who were picking olives in an orchard.
The Syrian Civil Defense reported that this attack was “in conjunction” with the similar shelling targeting the outskirts of Kansafra village nearby.
