Airwars assessment
A woman was injured by an artillery attack with contested responsibility reportedly perpetrated by the Syrian regime forces and/or the Russian military and/or the Iranian military on December 28th, 2023, in the village of Kansafra located south of Idlib, Syria.
Twitter/X user @mzmgr941 reported at 10:15 AM the intense missile bombardment allegedly carried out by the Russian and Iranian military in the settlements of Kansafra, Flefel, Fatira, and Maarat Al-Naasan in the countryside of Idlib. However, the injury of a woman was first reported at 7:35 PM by Twitter/X user @TkrytyMr21896.
The Syrian Press Agency posted a picture of the Kansafra village area without further details regarding the victim and the seriousness of her injuries.
Twitter/X user @almoktar013 reported that a joint operation of Syrian and Russian airplanes bombarded with more than 25 airstrikes in the area.
Most of the sources, including SOHR, Syrian Press Agency, and Al-Muharrer Media Network held the Syrian regime forces responsible for the attack while others, including Twitter/X user @mzmgr941, claimed the Russian military and/or the Iranian military were the perpetrators.
