Between two and three civilians including one to three children were killed in alleged Russian airstrikes on Al Khareeta, according to local sources.

Activists initially told Shaam News that three children were killed and more than five others were injured after Russian planes targeted Al Khareeta.

According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, at least two victims including a girl died when “suspected Russian warplanes” fired on Al Khareeta. Both SN4HR and the Violations Documentation Center identified one victim as Asaad al-Omair al-Abdulla.

Deir Ezzor 24 identified the dead male as Mr. al-Abdulla, and the dead child as the “daughter of Abu Steve.” It attributed their deaths and the injury of three others including a man identified as “Sou’aan el Za’eem” and an additional young girl – identified as the baby of “A’alyan Hamid” – to Russian strikes. In a later report, DE24 said “indiscriminate” Russian strikes targeted civilian areas, leading to the 2 deaths and 3 injuries.
