Airwars assessment
Between five and 20 civilians were killed and up to 30 more were wounded, including women, when warplanes launched two airstrikes against the neighbourhood of Fardous. The airstrikes reportedly struck the local market.
Syrian Newsdesk and @RadioAlKul blamed Russian warplanes. However, All4Syria and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the use of barrel bombs thrown from helicopters – a weapon used by the Assad regime.
A video posted by AMC showed the physical destruction caused by the airstrikes, which destroyed many buildings and businesses.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
