Airwars assessment
Up to three civilians died and 30 more were injured in alleged Russian airstrike on Al Tabqaqa, local media reported.
According to Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently – who later blamed Russia – “three people died and more than 30 were injured raids by warplanes on a carpet factory in the city of Tabaqa”. The source later published graphic images showing charred bodies following the incident, adding that the carpet factory – which was reportedly put out of service – was near the Hamza mosque.
According to @AlSaharqia24, who also pointed to Russia, the entire mosque was destroyed in the strike. RBSS went on to report that another raid “targeted a kindergarten by the church in the city”.
The Step News Agency also attributed the strikes to Russia – though some other sources didn’t identify the responsible party – including the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights who said one civilian had died.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
