Between two and fifteen civilians including one woman died and 43 more were reportedly wounded in an alleged Russia airstrike on Marja, according to local media.
Alamawi, Jisrtv, LCCSY all blamed Russia. In a video published by Piepers Umran (see below), a man says that Russian planes “targeted civilians as there are no militants in the neighbourhood”.
The majority of sources didn’t identify the culprit, referring only to “warplanes”. Alsoura put the death toll as high as 15 with 43 more injured – though most reports said that two people had died.
According to Al-Sharq, “the civil defense managed to recover an infant from under the rubble, who was still alive. He was 11 days old. But his mother and could not be rescued and was killed”. Paltimes2015 also reported the death of a woman, while AMC said that a woman was killed by her child survived after being lifted from the rubble.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
