Six named civilians from the same family, including two children, died in an airstrike on the town al-Zirba in Aleppo, according to local media – though reports were conflicted as to whether this was the work of Russia or the Assad regime.
According to Syrian Press Center “regime warplanes shelled Zirba after midnight, killing four civilians from the same family. The victims were originally from Kafr Noran village”.
Other media, such as AleppoAMC, Aleppo24, Siryahora and Fawaz_jwaid reported that the number of victims amounted to six and identified them by name.
Fawaz_jwaid said that among the victims were his cousins, tweeting: “Six of my cousins from Kafr Noran were killed in Zirba in warplane shelling”.
Syria News Desk added that a dozen people were wounded.
Among the sources who blaming Russia were Ara News, RFS media, Siryahora, ShahbaPress and Syria News desk. Only one source – Syrian Press Center – claimed that the regime was responsible.
