One civilian, named as Qassim Mustafa, died in an air or artillery strike on Masaken Hanano (Aleppo), according to local media – though sources are conflicted as to whether it was Syrian regime or Russian warplanes.
Various social media posts stated that Qassim Mustafa was killed by cluster munition bombs.
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that it was the Syrian Air Force that struck neigbourhoods East of Aleppo, including Hananou. The source reported: “Activists said that artillery targeted the neighborhood of Masaken Hananou with more than 150 rocket shells, including cluster bombs, which led to the departure of the ambulance system for service, according to militants.”
Syrian News Desk, however, blamed Russian warplanes for attacking Masaken Hanano – though its report made no mention of civilian harm.
One source, Aleppo AMC, said that “several people were injured by air strikes targeting the Masaken Hananou neighborhood”. No other sources mentioned any wounded civilians.
Amongst others, local Facebook group, ‘Occupied Masaken Hananou’, named the man killed as Qassim Mustafa.
