Up to eight civilians, including two children and two women, were reportedly killed and more than 20 were wounded due to alleged Russian or joint Russian-Syrian regime shelling of Qadi Askar, Aleppo, local sources reported.
Most sources reported that eight civilians were killed by the airstrikes, while just one, the Syrian Network for Human Rights, placed the death toll at seven, and added that two women were among the victims.
The twitter profile @freedomrise2My reported that his brother Abu Kamel lost two of his children in the airstrikes.
Several sources pointed to Russia as responsible for the incident. And while no known sources pointed to the Syrian regime solely, several attributed blame to both the Syrian regime and Russia. Hence, the incident remains contested.
