Airwars assessment
Between one and 10 civilians were killed and up to 30 others were injured in alleged Russian or regime airstrikes against the village of Tarmala in the southern suburbs of Idlib, local media reported.
It should be noted that it was widely reported that militants from Ahrar al Sham were killed in this strike – and that it is unclear how many of the overall victims were non-combatants.
Consensus among most local sources, including Step News and @HalabTodayTV, was that Russian missiles and airstrikes were responsible for the damage and destruction in Tarmala. However, @Syriamubasher identified regime forces as carrying out the bombing.
The lower estimate of two killed and no details on wounded was reported by the Civil Defense Hama, while the commander of Ahrar Sham told Smart News that thirty people were wounded in the airstrikes.
According to @HalabNow, the area that was bombed was occupied by opposition forces, resulting in casualties among their ranks. However, according to @souri88911, the alleged Russia planes were firing indiscriminately at the village of Tarmala. In addition, multiple sources, including Step News, identified that Tarmala was struck by both land or sea launched ballistic missiles and airstrikes.
The incident occured around midday.
The victims were named as:
