(Previous Incident Codes: R2274aRS2415)

“Russian criminal aircraft” were accused of carrying out between 80 and 100 air raids on Deir Ezzor governorate over the 24 hours prior to September 2nd. Multiple civilian casualties were reported, but the numbers are unclear.

Almodon reported that “dozens” of civilians – men, women and children – were killed in the alleged Russian bombardment that forced others to flee into the countryside and destroyed homes and mosques. Almodon further implies that these raids were coordinated along with the advance of the Syrian regime into the area.

It should be noted that these are general numbers over 24 hours in Deir Ezzor governorate and do not pertain to a specific civilian casualty incident.
