Airwars assessment
A civilian man was killed and three others were wounded in air and artillery strikes in Hasrat, according to local media. Sources were conflicted as to who was responsible for the strikes, with some attributing blame to Russia, while one source blamed the Syrian regime. Some sources did not identify the culprit.
The brother of the victim, Shaker al Rezij, confirmed the death with Airwars.
Allegedly a water station was struck with mortars, however there was also reportedly damage to civilian property.
Revolutionary Forces of Syrian Media Office – who blamed the Syrian regime – reported that “heavy” renewed artillery shelling struck the towns of Al-Shaafah, Sayyal Hassrat, Salhiyah, Mahawada, Baqan, Nahrin and Deir Al-Zour. They added that Palestinian civilians were caught in the bombing.

Reports of the incident mention the village of Hasrat (الحسرات), for which the generic coordinates are: 34.619075, 40.898297. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
