As many as eight civilians were killed, and dozens more were wounded, in airstrikes which hit residential housing in Sanqara, local media reported. Sources were conflicted as to who was to blame, some attributing blame to Russia, while others blamed the Syrian regime.

Images show what can only be described as a massacre, with the bodies of women and children spread across the vicinity.

According to media, members of the Syrian Civil Defence rushed to rescue injured bodies, taking victims to the nearest medical facilities. Many of the injured were in a serious condition, with one source reporting that the death toll was expected to rise.
