(Previous Incident Codes: R2948RS3153)
Between seven and 15 civilians were killed including three children and a woman, and nine others were wounded in air and artillery strikes on Douma, according to local media. Sources blamed both the Syrian regime helicopters and Russian warplanes for the strikes.
As well as the seven named victims below, the Violations Documentation Centre (VDC) listed four unidentified adult males.
It must however be noted that one of the victims named was listed as a non-civilian. VDC are however the only source to make this claim, so their status is “contested”.
As many as nine civilians were reported as injured, including four children, a woman and four members of the Syrian Civil Defence. Yasser, 18 months old, was named as injured by the Civil Defence Twitter page. He was put in intensive care, according to the source.
The area struck was mostly residential.
A source reported that “more than 40 air raids and intensive artillery shelling, the rescue teams worked on the urgent response to recover the martyrs and evacuate the injured to medical centres.”
