Between five and six civilians were killed and several others were wounded in air and/or artillery strikes on the residential neighbourhood of Mesraba, local media reported. Sources blamed both the Russian and Syrian regime raids.
Alaraby News reported that “The Syrian Civil Defence in the countryside of Damascus [reported that a] woman was killed and 21 civilians were injured, including five women and three children, as a result of air strikes, missiles and heavy artillery targeted residential areas in the town of Mesraba, after 24 raids from Russian and Syrian warplanes.
However, others sources put the numbers higher. According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, for example, “at least six civilians killed as Syrian/Russian warplanes fired missiles on several areas in Misraba town in Eastern Ghouta east of Damascus suburbs governorate, on March 7, 2018.”

Reports of the incident mention the village of Mesraba (مسرابا), for which the generic coordinates are: 33.55027, 36.39659. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
