A civilian was killed and four others, including women, were wounded as a result of airstrikes on the village of Tal Sandal, Idlib governorate, according to local sources. These blamed both Russian warplanes and the Syrian regime.

Orient News reported that “a civilian was killed and four others, including women, were injured on Thursday evening [May 17th, 2018] by airstrikes on the town of Tal Sandal.” Their correspondent stated that “the warplanes of the Assad regime targeted the town of Tal Sandal with four missiles”, adding that Syrian Civil Defence teams evacuated the injured to nearby hospitals.

Step News Agency and Edlib Media Center instead reported the airstrikes were Russian.

In the aftermath of the airstrikes, the Syrian Civil Defence team worked to remove the rubble and re-open the main road in the village.
