Between two and four civilians were killed and up to five, including a child, were wounded when alleged Russian or Assad regime airstrikes struck civilian homes and a health centre in the town of Al Zirba, south of Aleppo on May 6th, 2019.

Smart News Agency reported that an unspecified number of civilians was killed and wounded in Russian strikes on the town. However, the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SN4HR) blamed the regime, reporting: “Two civilians were killed as Syrian regime fixed-wing warplanes fired two missiles on al Zerba town in Aleppo governorate on May 6.”

According to Masrawy, “Russian warplanes launched at dawn raids today [May 6th] on the town of Al Zirbain in the southern countryside of Aleppo. The first raid targeted the health centre, and the second targeted the homes of civilians who were killed – including two children. Five others were wounded.”

According to a correspondent for SyriaTV, the strikes “killed two civilians and wounded three others, including a child, who were taken to nearby medical points.” AlyaumTv put the death toll at four.

Rok-Online wrote that, according to militants, two militia members were killed. All other sources reported that the fatalities were civilians.

According to several sources, the incident occured around dawn. The health centre was reportedly out of service after the bombing, wrote SyriaNoor.
