A child was killed and up to three women were wounded in alleged Russian or Syrian regime air and/or artillery strikes on civilian homes in the outskirts of Ma’arat Al Nu’man, Idlib governorate, on June 8th, 2019, according to local sources.

@SyriaCivilDefe reported “the death of a child and the wounding of three women as a result of four airstrikes by warplanes targeting civilian homes on the outskirts of the city of Ma’arat Al Nu’man in Idlib countryside this morning.”

Attributing the attack to the Syrian regime, the Syrian Network for Human Rights identified the girl killed as Fadwa Jum’a Al Bassas.

@azaldenalkasem1 reported that two civilians were additionally wounded and civilian homes and property were destroyed.

@abdalazezketa reported the use of vacuum missiles. @NagiNajjar, however, stated that artillery strikes coming from a Russian camp south of the city of Halfaya targeted the city with cluster missiles.

While some sources pointed to the Syrian regime, others did not positively attribute blame to an active belligerent. Shaam News Network blamed both Russia and the Syrian regime.
